Destiny and Parker met in Rexburg, Idaho at BYUI. Destiny grew up in Santa Clarita, California and Parker right here in Rexburg. I have known Destiny since she was in Kindergarten and I watched her grow up into a beautiful woman. Destiny’s mom Erin is one of my very good friends, we were room moms at the elementary school our kids went to, and we were in charge of the talent show and many church activities, which Erin always decorated. I tell you this because I want you all to know how talented Destiny’s mom is. She had the vision for the weddings and decor, it was her idea and she likes to call it California meets Idaho. I like to call it a woodsy boho chic glam wedding. Erin and Destiny included many of their family heirlooms into the style and decor, starting with the amethyst rocks. Destiny’s grandpa – which you will see a picture of him on her floral bouquet- used to give her grandma amethyst rocks for their wedding anniversaries, so Erin placed these rocks on the tables and on the cake table. The deep burgundy glasses and votives are vintage cape cod by Avon and belonged to Destiny’s grandma, and Erin made the runners for all the tables. I loved that they included these special gifts from their grandparents into their wedding decor, it just made it a little extra special and they felt their sweet grandpa was near. Another fun decor touch was adding the antlers and Buck and Doe into the decor.. This is where the Idaho comes into play with the California touch, you see Parker’s last name is Buck, and he grew up in the mountains of Idaho- so fun to add that great touch. I loved how their wedding was personalized and unique to them, and I loved how they chose the Rexburg Idaho temple because this was the cute little town they fell in love in.
